Three Simple Tips to Prevent Business Burnout!
What are 3 simple things you can do to avoid business burnout?
1-Make a List. List out all the things that need to get done for your business in a day, a week, a month, 6 months, and a year.
This not only puts these tasks, or goals, on paper, but now they can become actions. In writing them down, you have de-cluttered your mind and released any anxiety surrounding them. Once your list is complete, you can focus on step...
2-Prioritize. With visually being able to see everything in front of you, you can now begin the process of distinguishing what NEEDS to get vs. what you "THINK" should get done right away. You might want to start backwards from the long term goals to short term so that it is clear on what action to take right now in order to make the long term goals take place.
Additionally, you will want to put an *asterisk next to (or highlight) the main tasks that truly demand your immediate attention in the short term list. Once this is done, you will visibly see results take place because you have taken bite size pieces to act upon and achieve rather than becoming overwhelmed with trying to do it all, or doing just a little bit of everything and not getting anything accomplished. Often a digital calendar or app can be a fantastic method to organizing your list of tasks so that you can edit them on the go if need be. Finally...
3-Take a break! You won't do anyone any good if you are so super stressed and tense. Relax, be compassionate to yourself, take a breath, and know that you will get all the tasks done that need to get done! Have faith in yourself! Think about what works best for you to relax: meditate, take deep breaths, exercise, go for a nature walk, go to your favorite place, read a magazine, or have fun with a favorite activity! Just give yourself some time to decompress or you will have business burn out!
