“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” 6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” 7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. 9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. I love this passage on so many levels...God speaks as to how He knows us so perfectly, so intimately, and designed us with a special purpose in mind. He asks us to evangelize-to spread His good news by our actions, our everyday doings, so that our real "Who" shows up on all we do!! It is great to see how God uses ordinary people; people that are insecure, doubtful, etc. It goes to show that we are all alike and that He uses our humanness for His glory. Even though we might question our worth in His plan for us-He always gives us what we need to move forward. Jeremiah was a teen-I know that teens are so capable, more than they think- of fulfilling God's will to take place. Go out today, evangelize, let God's wisdom shine out from you!! God Bless!!
